2005 Island Iron Saturday, June 11, 2005 Wind conditions were estimated at 25 knots and growing to 35. Wild water with a strong outgoing tide and lots of surf. In the women's race, 5 crews hulied and only 6 crews were allowed to finish. The coast guard made the rest turn back and do the novice route to shore.
